Hello…
Hello and welcome to my website. I do hope you enjoy your time here. I understand you have your choice of content to read and I do appreciate your visit.
What can I tell you about me?
The most generalized description I can give you, dear reader, is that I am a storyteller. Or how one friend described to their young daughter, “Kate makes stories.”
I produce, I direct, I act and I write. Growing up my teachers often told my parents they believed I had ADD. I'm starting to believe they may have been correct.
A little bit about me;
I received my BA Hons degree in acting from East 15 Acting School in London.
I have directed and assistant directed projects for a number of years. My directing style like a lot of my work is very collaborative. I enjoy delving into character work, and am not afraid of using improve in rehearsal, so actors are able to go with their instincts allowing actions to feel spontaneous and comfortable, but structured.
The small details of a project can make or break said project. Much like one of my nerdier hobbies. Jigsaw puzzles. In order to put one together, one needs to be constantly referencing back and forth between focusing on the large overall picture and back to the detail of the individual piece.
